Database Line Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced DBA Line Manager to lead a team of database administrators, ensuring the delivery of robust, scalable, and secure database solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle database, SQL Server, MySQL database management, cloud technologies, and DevOps methodologies, with a proven track record in managing and mentoring technical teams.

Your key tasks

Team Leadership and Management :

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of DBAs to achieve organizational objectives

• Oversee workload distribution, performance evaluations, and professional development
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture

Database Administration :

Oversee the design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle databases (on-premise and cloud environments)

Cloud Expertise :

Implement and manage Oracle database solutions on cloud platforms (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

DevOps Methodologies :

Integrate DevOps practices into database management processes

Strategic Planning and Collaboration :

Define and execute database strategies aligned with business goals

Compliance and Standards :

Ensure compliance with industry regulations, organizational policies, and security standards

Qualifications

Technical Expertise :

7+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator, with at least 3 years in a leadership role

Leadership and Management :

Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills

Certifications (Preferred) :

Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or higher

Educational Background :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus

Soft Skills :

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
