Medtronic is hiring a Senior Project Manager responsible for leading and leveraging cross functional teams to manage projects, perform equipment acquisition and process validation to maintain manufacturing lines for market released products.
In the role, you will manage the operational aspects of projects within the organization Project Management Office as well as performing acquisition, implementation, and validation activities when necessary.
A Day in the Life
- Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes through the design and implementation of new equipment or modifications to existing equipment.
- Develop a comprehensive project plan that outlines the scope, timeline, budget, and resource requirements for the equipment purchase and implementation.
- Create and manage the project budget, including cost estimation, tracking expenses, and ensuring that the project stays within budgetary constraints.
- Identify potential risks associated with the equipment purchase and implementation, develop risk mitigation strategies, monitor, and address any issues that may arise.
- Collaborate with various departments such as engineering, manufacturing, quality, regulatory affairs, and reliability to ensure that the equipment purchase, and implementation align with organizational goals and requirements.
- Oversee the execution of the project plan, coordinate and perform, when necessary, activities to ensure the equipment is purchased, installed, and validated according to specifications.
- Ensure that the medical device manufacturing equipment meets regulatory and quality standards and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders, preparing progress reports, and addressing any concerns or issues related to the project.
Must Haves
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in medical devices and pharma.
- Fluency in French and English.
- Experience in equipment acquisition and optimization, as well as Compliance / Quality Systems Regulations (e.g. GMP’s, process / document controls, CAPA, audits).
- Experience in project management fundamentals (project planning, work breakdown structures, scheduling, executing, monitoring and closing) within cost, schedule and scope constraints.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable.
- Knowledge and practice of Lean Manufacturing (e.g. continuous improvement mindset, process excellence).
- Excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills.
- Excellent project management skills.

- Experience in automation design.
- Excellent Microsoft Office practice and knowledge.
- Strong, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
- Fluency in another European language.
