Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder | PhD in Neurosciences PreComb is revolutionizing cancer management with cutting-edge in vitro drug testing. Our microtumor-based profiling technology empowers healthcare professionals to maximize patient outcomes. Located near the Zurich Life Science Cluster, we are at the forefront of biomedical innovation. We are seeking a motivated individual to join our data science team. If you’re passionate about designing and maintaining robust data infrastructures and want to apply your skills to complex biomedical challenges, we’d love to hear from you. Your Responsibilities Design & Automate Data Pipelines : Develop, optimize, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines to acquire, process, validate, and store large-scale biomedical data. Ensure data quality, reliability, and scalability. Leverage Advanced Analytics : Collaborate with our research team and data scientists to implement machine learning and statistical models, integrating these solutions into production-ready systems for real-time insights. Collaborate Cross-Functionally : Partner with research, engineering, and clinical teams to translate diverse requirements into robust data solutions. Support seamless data integration across multiple functional groups. Develop Knowledge Databases : Create and manage comprehensive, well-documented databases or data warehouses. Implement best practices for data governance, version control, and security. Communicate Effectively : Present findings, system improvements, and architectural designs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment. Your Profile Degree in computer science, life sciences, engineering, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience. Hands-on expertise with state-of-the-art data engineering tools, frameworks, and data analytics platforms. Experience with ETL processes, CI / CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience working with primary data from scientific instruments or in the biomedical / life sciences field is an advantage. Programming experience with Python, R, SQL, or C++. Excellent ability to analyze and visualize complex concepts. Fluent in English; German is a plus. Swiss / EU citizenship or Swiss working permit.
