About Liom

Liom is a Swiss health-tech startup dedicated to revolutionizing the field of personalized health monitoring. Our objective is to develop the first health wearable monitoring glucose non-invasively. We will launch our wearable as a consumer product in the EU in H1’2027, and then as a medically cleared product in the US. Our team consists of over 80 staff, including more than 50 PhDs, with deep expertise in entrepreneurship, product development, and the required engineering as well as scientific disciplines. We are operating out of our lab facilities in Pfäffikon SZ, Switzerland, and our office in San Francisco, United States.

Your mission

  • Specification, design and simulation of Liom Health's integrated spectrometers used in its wearable products
  • Interface with external design houses, foundries, tool vendors, industrial and academic partners
  • Setting up Liom Health’s optical design flow for mass manufacturable optical systems
  • Document design activities and report protocols and findings
  • Stay up to date with the state-of-the-art optical design methodologies, device concepts and their implementation in hardware
  • Work on a variety of projects and at the interface with other functions
  • Contributing to the company’s IP bas

Your profile

  • Supporting the characterization of optical and photonic components for Liom’s products
  • Working with world-class engineers in developing break-through medical wearable devices
  • Characterization of optical materials and building up a material database
  • Executing test plans and generating corresponding test reports in a document controlled environment

    • Our recruitment process

    Starting with a 30-minute introductory phone interview, we proceed to group / technical interviews, ideally followed by an on-site interview and tour of our facilities. We aim for a swift process while allowing both parties to obtain a full picture.
