The CLM Onboarding Officer role is part of the 1st line of defense (1LOD) within the Client Lifecycle Management department, reporting to the Private Banking COO Office.

Our mission is to provide our Clients with a smooth and efficient Onboarding and Change of Circumstance experience. As part of the Client Onboarding team (CLM COB), you will be responsible for processing account openings, adhering to regulatory requirements, ensuring the highest standards and be able to prioritise in a fast-paced, positive environment.

In charge of assessing matters such as documentation quality check, CDB, suitability, cross border, Tax compliance, fiscal aspects (e.g., FATCA; CRS; stamp duty, VAT, …), the Bank intends to strengthen its coverage in terms of KYC and AML reviews in order to comply with the strictest rules in terms of due diligence.

CLM Onboarding Officer - Geneva

Your Mission :

  • Analysis of account opening documentation for individuals and legal entities in line with regulatory requirements and the bank’s policies and internal guidelines
  • Perform due diligence checks including CDB, KYC, AML, Crossborder and Tax (FATCA, CRS, VAT, stamp duty, UKRND).
  • For eligible cases, end-to-end processing of account opening, including analysing and validating KYC, performing screening (Lexis Nexis, Pythagoras, etc.) and validating the risk score.
  • Provide clear guidance to front office teams on assessments relating to material risks and formal aspects of account openings and linked changes in circumstances.
  • Act as a CLM OB ambassador when liaising with the tax, compliance, legal teams and stakeholders.
  • Provide consistent assessments to a high standard and be detail and solutions oriented.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, multi-task and meet set objectives.

Desired Profile :

  • University degree (preferably in law) and / or recognised certification in compliance (an asset)
  • At least 5 years' experience in the field
  • Very good knowledge of CDB, LBA, FATCA, CRS, Crossborder and Suitability
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of AML, CFT and Sanctions regulations (such as, but not limited to, Swiss AMLO-FINMA; EU / UK Money Laundering Directives, …)
  • Specific market expertise is a plus (Middle East, LatAm…)
  • Interest and understanding of current events, international affairs, financial regulations, and economics and / or finance.
  • Ability to combine technical expertise with a clear and persuasive communication style and the confidence and independence to make sound judgement calls.
  • Problem solving skills and a can-do attitude.
  • Demonstrate commitment, flexibility, adaptability and interpersonal skills.
  • Multidisciplinary and organisational skills.
  • Strong team spirit with the ability to work collaboratively across the organization, ensure first-class support and foster strong relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Fluency in spoken and written French & English, another language would be an asset.
  • Swiss domicile mandatory.
