Interoperability Engineer

The Vaud Hospitals Federation (FHVi) is the preferred partner of over 12 hospitals and regional healthcare facilities in the canton of Vaud. FHVi supports them in the many challenges of digital health and is primarily responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and managing the information systems of its members. There are more than 100 people serving a network of more than workstations spread across about a hundred geographical sites and three cantons (VD, VS, FR). The position is open to both women and men. For reading convenience, the terms are only in the context of interoperability. By joining our team responsible for interoperability, you will contribute with the help of our architecture unit to the interoperability of our health system.Your mission:The purpose and reason for this position is to maintain and evolve our systems to ensure their sustainability and reliability. You will play a key role in managing interoperability flows and connecting the various components of our system.Main activities and responsibilities:- Collaborate with the enterprise architect to evolve interoperability systems and technical architectures.- Design and implement interoperability flows with the responsible parties and business analysts.- Ensure the evolutionary maintenance of systems to guarantee their reliability.- Plan and carry out technical updates and define and control development rules.- Write and maintain technical documentation.- Participate in resolving level 3 support incidents related to technological monitoring on protocols and data exchange standards (HL7, FHIR…).Profile sought:- Degree in engineering (HES / EPF) or equivalent experience.- Minimum of 5 years of experience in interoperability, ETL, or distributed systems.- Experience with heterogeneous systems; experience in the hospital environment would be a plus.Technical skills:- Proficient writing; expertise in SOA architectures, Microservices, and knowledge of health interoperability protocols (HL7, FHIR…).- Development skills and data management (SQL, XML, JSON, various programming languages).- Familiarity with Windows environments and knowledge of Mirth and Apache NIFI would be appreciated.Behavioral skills:- Good ability to synthesize and present information and manage relationships with various stakeholders.- Very good executor, non-conflictual spirit, structured, methodical, responsive.- Ensure compliance with FHVi's operational procedures.Languages:- French: Proficient in spoken and written forms, secure writing skills.- English: Professional expression with confidence.What we offer you:- A stimulating opportunity to evolve in the healthcare sector, a constantly evolving field with meaningful impact.- The possibility to actively contribute to ambitious projects related to ongoing digital transformation.- Employment conditions with regular salary progression adapted to responsibilities, in accordance with FHVi regulations: 13th month of vacation per year (30 days from age 50).- Access to continuous education to support your professional development.- Possibility of teleworking (40% depending on conditions).- Subsidized parking on-site and easier accessibility by public transport.Are you ready to make a difference?
