Sr Analyst Procurement - Oils

Summary:

The individual is required to support the Sr Manager, Oils in managing our almost $300M combined Global Oils & Fats and Coconut sourcing books. As the owner of all contract data the role also provides senior management with the necessary information to support the strategies and operating objectives of the Corporation.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist the Senior Manager of Oils in managing physical Oils contracts for each business unit:

• Monitor and track the quantities of Oils raw materials that are required for purchase monthly, quarterly and annually.
• Ensure quantity contracts are created in commodities trading systems and match supplier contracts (price, volume, specification, delivery time period) including updating of Oils certification costs.
• As the owner of all contract data the Senior Analyst is the main point of contact for enquiries from commercial, financial and sustainability stakeholders. This includes owning volume, cost, certification and cover information for the entire Hershey organization with regards to Oils.
• Assist the Senior Manager of Oils to develop and maintain price standards for all global regions.
• Monitor and track Oils P&L by product and region, including Co-manufacturing facilities.
• Point of contact for sustainable reporting, liaising closely with responsible sourcing to ensure compliance with increased reporting requirements.
• Work closely with materials management to guarantee supply and target inventory levels.
• Work closely with materials management to track contract balances & minimize additional contract adjustments.
• Support maintenance of oils supply & demand models.

Drive Continuous Improvement projects and other value add initiatives

• Support in Continuous Improvement projects for Oils.
• Represent Hershey Oils Procurement on ongoing digital transformation projects.
• Lead supply chain financing initiatives to progress working capital objectives.

Manage Specialty Oils & Coconut Sourcing:

• Develop understanding of supply chains of specialty oils and coconut with the aim of assuming buying responsibilities for this $25m portfolio.
• Develop & implement specialty oils & coconut sourcing strategy, aiming to diversify across suppliers and origins to ensure a reliable, affordable and sustainable supply chain.
• Establish CI pipeline to deliver identified opportunities & work with internal project team to execute.
• Monitor and track the quantities of raw materials required for purchase monthly, quarterly and annually
• Monitor and track sp. oil and coconut P&L, including budget setting (Standards)

Knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:

• Interest in commodity markets; knowledge of associated terminology is an advantage
• High self-confidence level, high motivation and the ability to challenge and be challenged on data generated
• Strong data processing skills
• Ability to work well in a team and adapt to change
• SAP knowledge is a benefit
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
• Fluent written and spoken English; Other languages desirable

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics or related field of study required,
• Minimum 5 years related experience
