Are you an accomplished Executive Chef with extensive luxury cruise experience? A prestigious 6-star cruise line is seeking an exceptional professional to oversee its world-class culinary operations and deliver unforgettable dining experiences.
Position Highlights : Contract : 3 months on / 3 months off rotation, with the opportunity for continuous contracts based on performance.
Salary : $11,500 per month (tax-free, paid only when working on-board)
Vessel Size : 600-800 passengers
Culinary Team : 60-80 staff members, including Executive Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chefs Dining Experience : Five distinct restaurants, including a main restaurant and specialty venues managed by Speciality Chef de Cuisines Casual dining options lead by Sous Chefs
Living Arrangements : Private single cabin with access to onboard amenities (gym, swimming pool, etc.)
Role Overview : The Executive Chef leads all culinary operations onboard, maintaining exceptional standards of quality, safety, and service across all venues. This role requires a hands-on approach, especially during peak service hours, and collaboration with the Executive Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisines and Senior Sous Chefs. The menus, set by the corporate culinary team, emphasize classic fine dining, focusing on elegance and consistency. The position reports directly to the onboard Culinary Director. We are seeking candidates who are looking for a long-term opportunity and are committed to delivering excellence. Successful completion of the initial 3-month contract will lead to subsequent contracts in an ongoing arrangement. What We're Looking For :
Skills : Strong operational and leadership abilities to oversee multiple venues and staff. A hands-on, detail-oriented approach during high-pressure situations. Familiarity with delivering service to a predominantly American, retired guest demographic.
Qualifications : Culinary certificate and fluency in English. STCW, Seaman’s Book, C1 / D visa, and valid medical certificate. Positive appraisals from previous luxury cruise experiences. Ability to manage stress and thrive in dynamic environments.
