The Position
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT System Administrator to support and enhance our IT infrastructure. You will play a key role in ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient systems that enable business operations across the organization.
Your Responsibilities
- Maintain, monitor, and optimize server, network, and endpoint infrastructure (on-premise and cloud)
- Provide timely technical support to users across locations
- Implement and maintain security best practices (patch management, access controls, backups)
- Administer virtualization environments (e.g., VMware / Hyper-V) and cloud services (Azure / AWS) where applicable
- Manage identity, authentication, group policies, and onboarding / offboarding processes
- Troubleshoot complex IT issues and drive continuous improvements
- Maintain up-to-date system documentation
- Planning and implementation of IT projects and migrations
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in IT / Computer Science, or equivalent experience3+ years of hands-on experience in system administrationFluency in German and EnglishSolid knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, networking (TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP)Experience with virtualization and cloud technologiesStrong problem-solving and communication skillsWorking with autonomy, strong team orientation and process improvementExperience with ITIL or structured support processes is a plusWhy Celonic?
