At the , we lead the development of Scene Viewer, a core application of the ArcGIS platform empowering our users around the globe to engage with geospatial data in 3D. We are looking for a quality savvy GIS specialist to join our team of exceptional software engineers and designers to advance Scene Viewer and the cloud solution, ArcGIS Online. Join us to push the state of the art of what is possible in a browser.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the team on new functionality for 3D workflows and visualizations
  • Serve as geospatial expert, advocating for use cases from a wide range of industries
  • Analyze requirements in depth to design, test, and maintain functionality
  • Explore usability and test functionality and recommend improvements
  • Design, create, and maintain data and test cases for development and quality assurance
  • Public writing such as blog posts, demos, release notes, release demos
  • Design and actively contribute to technical sessions at Esri conferences (Developer Summit, UC, EU Developer Summit)

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience applying geospatial technology, ideally using the ArcGIS platform
  • Experience with quality assurance, test strategies, test automation, and or developing test scripts
  • Knowledge of the agile software development processes and methodologies
  • Analytical problem-solving skills
  • Passion for quality, detail oriented, and ideally you know how to break software
  • Self-motivated team player with an interest in continuous learning and building software products
  • Bachelor's degree in geospatial science, cartography or / and computer science or a related field
  • Existing work authorization for Switzerland
  • Recommended Qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in a relevant field
  • Industry experience in building geospatial, 3D, or other web applications
  • Knowledge in JavaScript, CSS, and HTML or other web technologies
