Job Description
- Engineering and execution of DCS and control systems for Energy from Waste (EfW) and Renewable Gas (RG) plants
- Control system hardware and cable engineering, including cabinet layouts, wiring, loop, and termination diagrams
- Preparation of technical specifications, bid evaluations, supplier selection, and timely system ordering
- Supervision and coordination of suppliers throughout project execution and documentation reviews
- Engineering and selection of field instrumentation (pressure, temperature, level, flow, analyzers)
- Participation in FAT, risk assessments (HAZOP, SIL, Cyber Security), and design review meetings
- Interface coordination with internal teams, support of tendering and commissioning activities
Technical support, coaching of automation engineers, and contribution to process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Several years of experience in control systems engineering, preferably in power plant or process industriesStrong knowledge of bus communication protocols (Profibus, Profinet, Modbus TCP, IEC 104, OPC)Solid understanding of field instrumentation, measurement principles, and ATEX environmentsExperience with CAE tools (e.g., COMOS) and electrical engineering tools (EPLAN, SIMARIS advantageous)Functional Safety Engineer and / or Cyber Security Engineer certification is an advantageProject management knowledge and commissioning / operational experience are an advantageProactive, solution-oriented mindset with decision-making ability and resilience under stressFluent in English; German and additional languages are an advantageAdditional Information
