Business Analyst – Trading & Assets

Job Description

Nextlink Solutions is seeking a Business Analyst with strong experience in Trading & Asset environments.

The role focuses on supporting trading and asset optimization initiatives within the energy trading domain. The consultant will act as the interface between trading desks, asset management teams, risk, and IT delivery units, ensuring business requirements are translated into scalable and robust system solutions.

The ideal candidate has experience in energy trading, commodities trading, or asset-heavy industries and understands trading lifecycle processes, market data flows, risk exposure, and regulatory frameworks within energy markets.

Requirements

• Energy trading lifecycle
  
• Commodity markets (power, gas, renewables, certificates)
  
• Asset optimization and production asset workflows
  
• Risk management and exposure reporting
  
• Understanding of ETRM systems (e.g., Endur, Allegro, Trayport, etc. – advantage)
  

• Experience writing functional specifications and user stories
  
• Strong data analysis skills (SQL is a plus)
  
• Experience working with trading or ETRM platforms
  
• Agile delivery experience
  

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  
• Analytical and structured approach
  
• Ability to work in fast-paced trading environments
  
• Independent and solution-oriented mindset
  

• Fluent English required
