For one of our clients, a well-established financial institution based in Geneva, we are looking for a :
SENIOR ADVISORY PORTFOLIO MANAGER
Job description
- Provide proactive investment advice to clients holding Active Advisory mandates, ensuring regular interactions and high-quality, tailored recommendations.
- Monitor financial markets and client portfolios to identify investment opportunities and potential risks.
- Ensure portfolios remain aligned with the overall investment strategy, asset allocation framework, approved investment universe and internal guidelines.
- Analyse portfolio performance, risk exposure and investment suitability in line with each client’s profile and objectives.
- Prepare and present customised investment proposals for existing and prospective clients.
- Contribute actively to investment meetings by sharing market views and actionable investment ideas.
- Support the development of the client base towards Advisory mandates.
- Oversee operational aspects such as order execution, account monitoring and reporting.
- Ensure full compliance with internal policies as well as regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with Relationship Managers and Wealth Management teams, including participation in client meetings as an investment specialist.
Required profile
University degree in Finance, Economics or a related field.Professional certifications such as CFA, CAIA, CWMA or equivalent are highly desirable.Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within Advisory and / or Portfolio Management in a Private Banking environment.Strong expertise in global asset allocation across all major asset classes, including Cash & Treasury, Fixed Income, Equities, Alternatives and derivatives.Solid knowledge of investment solutions, including structured products.Good understanding of key currencies (EUR and USD required; CHF and GBP are a plus).Proven ability to work with banking IT platforms, including suitability and cross-border checks.Sound knowledge of MiFID and FinSA regulatory frameworks.Fluent in English; Spanish and / or Italian required. French or German is an advantage.Swiss residency is mandatory.All files will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.
