IT Onsite Support Engineer (Heerbrugg 1st, 2nd level support, English, German)

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for end users with IT related issues, requests or questions
• Occasionally provide meeting and conferencing support to the top-level management in a corporate environment
• Actively contribute to the knowledge database
• Resolve software, hardware and device issues reported by the end users
• Support the troubleshooting of connectivity issues and network elements including ISP circuits, firewalls, network switches, wireless equipment and telephony system
• Remote access solution (VPN) implementation and support
• Escalate service issues when required
• Communication with end users as required, keeping them informed of ticket progress
• Advise and train staff on computer operations and software applications
