Senior GL Accountant

Reporting to senior staff, he'll apply accounting principles, ensuring compliance with standards and contributing to accurate financial reporting.<>

The position is open for a candidate with strong technical experience in accountancy (e.g. audit, general accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory reporting) : Perform month-end close complex activitiesParticipate to the drafting of financial statements as requiredReconcile accounts and prepares variance analysis; identifies and explains issues (e.g., variances outside of established norms)Identify opportunities for improvement and updates processes or documentationPrepare financial statements based on supporting documents self-prepared or provided by others on more complex operations as neededUpdate internal documentation and procedures as warranted; execute internal control procedures and continue monitoring to ensure compliance and accuracy of financial recordsAssist with external audits, understanding auditor's requests and responding with proper documentationUnderstand new or changing transactions and accounting standards, assist with evaluating impact, propose and discuss solutions with more senior associates for agreement before revising corresponding processes and deliverablesBuild relationships within Global Finance and collaborate with other areas of the business<>
