What you're going to do

Would you like to play a pivotal role in technical projects and shape sophisticated software architectures? Do you already have experience as the technical lead in various software projects, as well as a strong understanding of complex application landscapes and the business areas of banking and insurance? Then this might be an exciting opportunity for you!

As a crucial member (part-time possible) of a dynamic team at our headquarters in Zurich, you will collaborate with other interdisciplinary departments in agile projects that make a strong impact on the software architectures of our clients. You will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Providing technical leadership for offers by designing solutions and deliverables, defining tools, identifying risks, and estimating efforts
• Leading the technical part of projects, making critical decisions to ensure project success
• Leading client workshops and meetings to gather requirements, present solutions, and ensure alignment with project goals
• Designing and building architectures for complex software systems in the Java Enterprise ecosystem
• Identifying , anticipating , and mitigating technical risks to ensure project stability and success
• Providing developers and system integrators with technical leadership, fostering a collaborative and high-performing project environment
• Providing consulting services to clients, offering strategic advice and technical solutions to meet their business needs
• Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of technical specifications and documentation

What we're looking for

• A bachelor's or master's degree (ETH/university of applied sciences/university) in computer science
• 5 or more years of experience in technical leadership, as well as architecting and developing complex projects (more than 10 team members) in the Java Enterprise ecosystem
• Practical experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Docker, as well as cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS and/or GCP)
• Proven experience in a consulting role, with a track record of successfully delivering client-focused solutions
• Proven experience with state-of-the-art architecture patterns (microservices, event-driven, serverless architectures, SOA) and a commitment to continuous learning
• Backend experience with Java, Spring, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQLServer or MySQL/MariaDB, Redis , etc. is a plus
• Frontend experience with mobile (iOS, Android, hybrid) or Angular or React is beneficial
• Experience in leading client engagements, including workshops, meetings, and presentations
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively communicate with clients at all levels
• Cloud architect certifications (Azure, AWS, or GCP) as well as a completed iSAQB CPSA-F or TOGAF Foundation training/certification are a plus
• Proficiency in German and English
