We are searching for an experienced Revenue Analyst at our MSC Geneva facility.

YOUR IMPACT

Strategic Analysis and Benchmarking of MSC TradeRevenues (Sea and Land)

  • Lead the comprehensive analysis of MSC trade revenues across sea and land identifying key trends, market conditions, and performance indicators.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of benchmarking methodologies to compare MSC’s performance against industry standards and competitors.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to management based on revenue analysis to drive decision-making and strategic planning.

Reporting and Insights Communication to Senior Management

  • Synthesize complex data and analysis into clear, actionable insights for the Liner in charge, presenting findings in a compelling and easy-to-understand manner.
  • Prepare and deliver high-level presentations to senior management, highlighting critical findings, potential risks, and strategic opportunities.
  • Ensure continuous improvement in reporting processes and the quality of insights provided to management.
  • Special Conditions (THC, Local Charges, Demurrage)

  • Analyse special conditions (THC, local charges, demurrage) granted to customers and address the outcome to liners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate the financial impact of special conditions on customers and its profitability.
  • Develop strategic recommendations for adjustments to special conditions to optimize revenue.
  • Monthly KPI and Performance Analysis Reporting

  • Establish a robust framework for the preparation and presentation of monthly KPIs and performance analysis to management and liners.
  • Ensure the accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of KPI reports, highlighting key performance metrics and trends.
  • Lead continuous enhancement of KPI reporting tools and techniques to provide deeper insights and support strategic decision-making.

    Ad-Hoc Analysis and Strategic Support

  • Lead the execution of ad-hoc analysis requests from Management and Liners Department, ensuring high-quality and timely deliverables.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior management, providing expert analysis and recommendations on a wide range of business issues.
  • Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making within the organization, promoting the use of analytics and insights in strategic planning and operations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, ensuring alignment and collaboration on strategic initiatives.
  • Represent the analytics function in cross-functional meetings and projects, providing expert insights and contributing to the achievement of business objectives.
  • Required Qualifications :

    YOUR BACKGROUND

  • Degree in Finance or Business Management or alternatively Maritime background
  • 5-7 years of experience in a similar role
  • Shipping / Commercial acumen is a strong asset
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Work accuracy and precision
  • Team player with strong communication skills
  • Excellent command of English and French, both written and spoken
  • Ability to work under pressure and within short deadlines
  • Transversal thinking and accuracy
