Field mechanic

Microdia is a Swiss company known worldwide for its high precision extrusion crossheads with offices in Germany USA Japan and P.R.China the company employs about 70 persons.

Our products named crossheads are used to insulate electrical wire and cables, LAN, automotive, signal, computer, aviation, airspace, power etc. and extrude tubes for the automotive, pneumatic, irrigation, medical industries, among others; they can be integrated on existing or new extrusion lines and this has been done, so far, in more than 50 countries.

We look for a mechanic to :

• Inspect the crossheads before shipment.
• Travel to the customer's facility to verify the installation of the crosshead on the extrusion line.
• Help customer to modify its machine's configuration if necessary.
• Explain the use of the crosshead to the customer's operators.
• Perform the acceptance extrusion test with the support of our technical team.
• Write down visit report and acceptance certificate.

When not abroad the mechanic will help assembling the crosshead in our facilities and address the few after sales cases with the help of our technical specialist.

This activity requires a good knowledge of English ; other language will be a plus.

This is essentially a mechanical job but there might be some minor electrical issues to address on site.

Customer's visits will be less than once a month and last less than one week.
