IT Infrastructure Architect

The Vaud Hospitals (Infrastructure Architect (M/F) The Vaud Hospitals (FHVi) is the preferred partner of more than 12 hospitals and regional health facilities in the canton of Vaud. FHVi supports them in the numerous digital challenges in the healthcare sector and primarily aims to plan, design, implement, and operate the IS of its members. There are more than 110 staff serving a park of over numerous workstations spread across about a hundred geographical sites and three cantons (VD, VS, FR). Infrastructure Architect (M/F) Join us to shape the IT infrastructure of tomorrow! As an Infrastructure Architect, you design and evolve the technical architectures that support the entire system, whether they are on-premise, cloud, or hybrid. You ensure the coherence, performance, security, and sustainability of the systems while aligning them with the IS and main objectives. Responsibilities and activities Design and maintain the overall architecture of infrastructures: servers, storage, networks, define standards, frameworks, and good architectural practices. Develop and evolve the technical mapping and the infrastructure roadmap, anticipating future needs and technological evolution. Optimize resources, performance, and costs. Participate in technological choices: studies, POCs, benchmarks, and IT projects from the scoping phase (needs analysis, constraints, costs, risks). Advise and support the Enterprise Architect to ensure scalable and harmonized infrastructures with the overall architecture. Integrate security, service continuity, and compliance requirements into the proposed architectures. Work closely with the team and our external partners to ensure the quality, security, and performance of infrastructures. Identify technological trends and propose contributions to the evolution of infrastructures. Participate in calls for proposals and projects by providing your technical expertise. Technical environment Systems: Windows Server, / containers: VMware, Kubernetes, Docker Cloud: M365, Azure Networks & security: LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPN, load balancers Storage & backup: SAN/NAS, backup solutions Tools: ITSM, X monitoring and required techniques Proven expertise in designing complex infrastructures and knowledge in systems, networks, security, and high availability. Confirmed experience in cloud and hybrid environments. Ability to formulate architectural diagrams and clear technical documents. Personal skills: Global vision and sense to align the infrastructure with the IS and business needs. Analytical and synthesis capacity to design clear, coherent, and effective architectures. Leadership and ability to unite teams around projects with a superior mindset. Significant experience (5 years or more) in a similar role or appreciated in engineering (VMware, AWS/Azure, Microsoft, Cisco, Fortinet, security, etc.).
