As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be a pivotal player in our organization, responsible for driving and overseeing the strategic direction, development, and implementation of data solutions.

ROLE DESCRIPTION
- Your primary purpose will be to harness the power of data to enable informed decision-making, optimize business processes, and unlock new opportunities for growth and innovation.
- This role reports to the Director of Data Solutions and the start date is as soon as possible.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Analytics and Insights : Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business challenges and opportunities, and then leverage data analytics to derive valuable insights.
Empower teams with actionable intelligence to enhance operational efficiency and guide strategic decision-making.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management : Engage with cross-functional teams, business leaders, and external partners to understand data requirements and align data solutions with organizational goals.
Cultivate strong relationships to ensure data-driven initiatives are supported and well-integrated throughout the company.
Technology Evaluation and Implementation : Evaluate emerging technologies and tools to enhance data processing, analysis, and visualization capabilities.
Oversee the successful implementation of data solutions, driving seamless integration with existing systems.
Data Architecture and Governance : Lead the design and implementation of robust data architectures, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Establish data governance policies to maintain data quality and consistency across the organization.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of related experience in data warehousing, data pipelining and other big data technologies. Strong knowledge and / or experience in building a DataLakeHouse is a plus.
- Experience with the Azure Data Stack like Synapse, Data Factory and Databricks.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to switch gears quickly and cope with change.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's (from a four-year college or university) or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
NICE TO HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
Cruise or hotel / hospitality industry knowledge / experience is a plus, but not necessary.
