Internship GNC Engineer, Estimation

Dufour Aerospace is pioneering drones for critical missions. Based in Switzerland Dufour develops and manufactures efficient and sustainable aircraft for cargo transportation logistics and public safety.

We are seeking a highly motivated intern to join our FDCS (Flight Dynamics and Control Systems) Team. This is a unique opportunity to gain deep insights into our advanced systems and contribute directly to core technology. The successful candidate will contribute on further developing our in-house state estimator and perception capabilities taking projects from algorithm design all the way to field testing.

Tasks

• Algorithm Development : Design develop and improve algorithms for state estimation (e.g. sensor fusion Kalman filters) and perception (e.g. object detection SLAM).
• Tools & Analysis : Create and maintain robust analysis tools to validate algorithm performance process large datasets and debug system behavior.
• Simulation : Perform comprehensive simulation-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) tests to verify new features and ensure system stability.
• Testing & Integration : Actively participate in the hands-on integration of your software onto our target Operations : Support and participate in real-world field-testing campaigns analyze results and iterate on solutions.
