Your responsibilities

  • Independent implementation of translational research experiments such as multiple drug testing in 2D and 3D cell culture, human tumor primary culture, cell proliferation / viability / apoptosis / migration assays, xenograft mouse models (including animal monitoring, surgery, injections and imaging), Western blot (including the JESS machine), PCR, RT-PCR, cloning, ELISA, histology, immunostaining, (fluorescence-)microscopy, FACS, seahorse and interpretation of next generation sequencing data
  • Experience with animal experiments is welcome
  • The willingness to carry out animal experiments is desired
  • Basic data analysis and documentation of procedures and results
  • Active participation in research group meetings and research seminars
  • Operation and maintenance of lab equipment and facilities
  • Participation in the management of lab inventory including the evaluation of new lab equipment

Your profile

  • Practical experience in basic methods of biology and histology such as cell culture, tumor primary culture, Western blot, PCR, RT-PCR, ELISA, histology, immunostaining, (fluorescence-)microscopy and FACS
  • Practical experience with animal experiments is a plus
  • Basic knowledge in seahorse and next generation sequencing is a plus
  • Good knowledge in MS Office suite (Excel, Word and Power Point)
  • Basic knowledge in statistics is a plus
  • Good communication skills in English and German
  • You are motivated, team-orientated, friendly and authentic
  • Detail-orientated and can-do attitude
