StellenbeschreibungPractical experience in basic methods of biology and histology such as cell culture, tumor primary culture, Western blot, PCR, RT-PCR, ELISA, histology, immunostaining, (fluorescence-)microscopy and FACS Practical experience with animal experiments is a plus Basic knowledge in seahorse and next generation sequencing is a plus Good knowledge in MS Office suite (Excel, Word and Power Point) Basic knowledge in statistics is a plus Good communication skills in English and German You are motivated, team-orientated, friendly and authentic Detail-orientated and can-do attitude A highly motivated and dynamic research team with open-minded environment researching novel therapeutic approaches for neuroendocrine tumors of high clinical relevance Access to good trainings offered by the University of Zurich Opportunities to learn new skills including animal experiments Very broad range of tasks and responsibilities
Your responsibilities
- Independent implementation of translational research experiments such as multiple drug testing in 2D and 3D cell culture, human tumor primary culture, cell proliferation / viability / apoptosis / migration assays, xenograft mouse models (including animal monitoring, surgery, injections and imaging), Western blot (including the JESS machine), PCR, RT-PCR, cloning, ELISA, histology, immunostaining, (fluorescence-)microscopy, FACS, seahorse and interpretation of next generation sequencing data
- Experience with animal experiments is welcome
- The willingness to carry out animal experiments is desired
- Basic data analysis and documentation of procedures and results
- Active participation in research group meetings and research seminars
- Operation and maintenance of lab equipment and facilities
- Participation in the management of lab inventory including the evaluation of new lab equipment
