Assist in planning and organizing logistics and administrative tasks for official meetings of the Convention's Governing and Subsidiary Bodies.Support the smooth execution of all official meetings, including events, by implementing assigned tasks related to logistics, in accordance with the event planning and the Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Southern Africa.Coordinate with various stakeholders, including external contractors, government representatives, and internal team members, to facilitate meeting arrangements.Manage schedules, venues, and other logistics to ensure seamless operations, including preparing contracts, correspondence, and participant registration.Prepare meeting documents, reports, and communication materials as needed.Handle administrative tasks related to meeting organization, including coordinating travel arrangements for participants and other logistical needs.Contribute to post-meeting evaluations and feedback processes to improve future events.Bachelor's degree or higher in Event Management, Logistics, International Relations, Public Administration, or a related field.At least 3 years of relevant experience in event management, logistics coordination, or administrative support, preferably in an international or environmental governance context.Experience working in Southern Africa, with an understanding of the regional context, logistical challenges, and cultural nuances, is a strong asset.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of other official languages of the Convention (French and Spanish) is an asset.Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database interfaces (CiviCRM).Availability to be on-site at the event venue in Southern Africa for up to three weeks in July 2025.7 months of contract.
2 days home office per week.
