We are looking for an experienced HPC System Engineer for our client in Zurich, who is eager to work at the forefront of scientific high-performance computing technology. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for optimizing and advancing scientific applications on hybrid CPU+GPU architectures, while providing personalized support to researchers.

Your Responsibilities :

  • Porting scientific applications to hybrid CPU+GPU architectures (e.g., Nvidia Grace Hopper, AMD Instinct).
  • Compilation, testing, debugging, performance analysis, and optimization of HPC applications.
  • Automating installation processes with CI / CD pipelines (Kubernetes, Singularity / Apptainer, Spack).
  • Supporting researchers through workshops, tutorials, and personalized assistance.
  • Collaborating closely with DevOps and User Support teams within the HPC group.

Your Profile :

  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience with large-scale scientific computing applications.
  • Strong knowledge in parallelization, optimization, and compilation of complex open-source codes.
  • Proficiency in Bash, Python, C / C++, Fortran, MPI, and OpenMP.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
