For one of our clients, an international private bank based in Geneva, we are looking for a :

SENIOR BUSINESS MANAGER & DEPUTY COO - PRIVATE BANKING

Job description

  • Lead the implementation and execution of the Regional COO activity, focusing on Technology, Operations, and Products for Private Bank Wealth Management, ensuring high-performance business delivery.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define and execute the PBWM COO vision and strategy, supporting business growth and scalability.
  • Oversee platform procedures and practices, ensuring they meet global standards while maintaining effective risk management, client service, and control measures.
  • Manage cost budgeting, headcount, and ensure financial control aligns with business requirements.
  • Lead strategic change in the regional COO, collaborating across various functions and managing outsourced functions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Bank's Operational Risk Framework.
  • Drive operational excellence by optimizing processes, reducing inefficiencies, and delivering improved client and colleague experiences.
  • Provide leadership to the team, coaching and mentoring colleagues, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Represent PBWM COO in dealing with auditors, regulators, and external stakeholders.

Required profile

  • Extensive experience in a senior operations role within the financial services industry, with a focus on Private Banking and Wealth Management.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, operational procedures, and risk management within the private banking sector.
  • Proven track record of leading operational teams, implementing strategic change, and managing complex processes in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and manage relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a global, matrixed environment, with a client-first mindset.
  • Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills; other languages are a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive process improvements and innovation.
