Finance Specialist

Financial Analyst is primarily accountable for the accounting and analysis of finance activities to support Asia Finance Controllers SSC. The role is also responsible for the preparation of Finance processes such as but not limited to Journal Entry preparation, reconciliation and preparation of management reports being used by Business Units within Asia.

Position Responsibilities:

• Accounting & Reporting:

  Prepare journal entries and manage accounting/reporting for inter-company, interdivisional, and overhead expense allocation accounts.Monitor suspense accounts and support management and financial reporting needs.Handle finance operations with financial impact (e.g., invoicing, credit card refunds, daily premium matching).Perform month-end closing activities, including journal entry uploads and reconciliation of accounts and balance sheet items for regulatory requirements.Support management reporting for internal and external stakeholders.

• Reconciliation:

  Perform bank, intercompany, and system reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data.

• Reviewer:

  Conduct peer-to-peer reviews to ensure accurate and timely submission of outputs to business units.

• Automation Champion:

  Propose and implement automation initiatives to improve accuracy and contribute to cost efficiency.

• Collaboration:

  Work closely with managers and cross-functional teams to identify operational efficiencies aligned with business strategy.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have a degree in Finance or Accounting, CPA is preferred.
• 4 - 7 years of working experience with progressive responsibility within the general accounting and management reporting field, at least 3 of which internally with an international organization or Shared Service Center.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, MS Access, Business Objects applications, Lawson, Hyperion Essbase.
• Experience in process migration is a plus.
• Has strong attention to details and can work independently.
• Good command of written and oral English.
• Hybrid Work Arrangement: Amenability and readiness to work onsite and from home anytime (dependent on business need AND/OR current external environment/situation) and must be willing to work on a day shift schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in account analysis and reconciliation
• Proficiency in MS Office specifically in MS Excel
• Strong interpersonal and English (written and verbal) communication skills
• Ability to work independently, self-motivated, resourceful, and a team-player
