Are you a creative developer who excels at combining technical expertise with design aesthetics? Do you want to play a role in enhancing websites that are both scientifically authoritative and impactful to the public?

Aufgaben

As a member of our client's dynamic, interdisciplinary team, you will be crucial in maintaining and advancing the web presence Service. Your work will blend design with technology to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure websites.

In this role, you will :

  • Design front-end solutions that are accessible, user-friendly, and visually appealing, ensuring an engaging and informative digital experience.
  • Build and maintain web services that are robust, scalable, and secure, while ensuring their long-term performance and stability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to web hosting, databases, and infrastructure, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth operations.
  • Become an active member of the IT Pikett team , helping to manage and resolve issues related to technology infrastructure, guaranteeing continuous reliability for both current and future operations.
  • Collaborate closely with communication experts, domain scientists, and stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into effective web solutions.

Qualifikation

  • A degree in Computer Science , Software Engineering , or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least two years of experience in full-stack web development, with a strong emphasis on front-end development.
  • Solid proficiency in JavaScript , CSS , and HTML , and experience creating responsive and visually engaging web interfaces. Experience with front-end frameworks like React , Vue , or Angular , or familiarity with Web Components , is an asset.
  • Proven experience with web services development and maintenance, preferably with expertise in Python .
  • Knowledge of UI / UX design principles and tools (e.g., Figma ).
  • Comfort with Linux command-line tools , system administration tasks, and version control using Git .
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills , with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English , with knowledge of a national language (German, French, or Italian) being a plus.
  • A proactive mindset and eagerness to learn, with a passion for contributing to collaborative, interdisciplinary projects.
