- Monitor relevant Swiss and EU laws and regulations related to ESG compliance, ensuring all business components manage legal risks effectively.
- Develop and implement ESG-related policies and procedures, focusing on supplier due diligence and the Supplier Code of Conduct.
- Support the Group Sustainability team in creating transparency guidelines for ESG matters and addressing promotional and product claim issues.
- Provide legal assistance for non-financial reporting obligations, including standards set by the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC).
- Educate stakeholders across the Group on legal and regulatory aspects of our sustainability strategy.
- Prepare reports for governance committees related to ESG compliance and strategy implementation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive ESG initiatives within the organization.
- Academic qualifications in business, law, or ESG / human rights disciplines.
- Previous experience in Switzerland or already based in Switzerland.
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in a similar legal role, preferably in-house or supporting international clients on ESG matters.
- Previous experience in the retail or luxury industry, a strong advantage
- Bilingual in French and English; proficiency in German is a plus.
- Strong analytical, communication, and facilitation skills, with the ability to simplify complex legal concepts.
