Role Overview :

As a Senior Avaloq Developer, you will be a seasoned software engineer with extensive knowledge of the Avaloq stack (Avaloq Script, PL / SQL, Oracle SQL, Task Engine, Report Writer, Object Model, Transactional Model, Booking Engine).

You will provide your expertise to the Trade & Transaction reporting unit within the broader Avaloq Regulatory team.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Maintain existing Trade and Transaction reporting solutions.
  • Develop new functionalities or enhance existing functionalities in Trade and Transaction reporting.
  • Implement small to medium-sized projects in collaboration with colleagues from the Trade and Transaction reporting unit.
  • Challenge and rethink existing solutions (architecture) with colleagues.
  • Be an integral part of the broader Avaloq Regulatory team, assisting in other expert fields (Tax, Compliance, Legal Reporting, Accounting).

Qualifications :

  • Higher education (university / FH) in Informatics or Computer Science, preferably with a specialization in Software Engineering.
  • Additional training as an Avaloq Certified Professional (ACP).
  • 4 years of practical experience in Avaloq development.
  • Solid understanding of banking and finance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Completion of ACCP with a major in Core Technologies is a plus (formerly ACP).
  • Ability to work with various stakeholders and a hands-on mentality.
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and high level of accountability.
  • Willingness to come onsite in Basel.
  • Fluency in English.
