Internship Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (f/m/d) 100%
Description
The design of high voltage (HV) devices, such as gas circuit breakers (CB) and gas insulated switchgear (GIS), requires among others simulations and experiments for verification of insulation and switching performance.
Additionally, the research activities in the area of gas circuit breakers are enhanced by various computer-aided-engineering tools.
The aim of the internship is to contribute to the preparation of the test setup, perform simulations, as well as experimental data post-processing and analysis.
The superior goal is the achievement of high-end quality of the product. The duration of the internship is 6 to 12 months.
Your responsibilities :
Working in a project for pre-product development
Preparation of the experiments and post-processing of the experimental results
Simulations (electric fields, mechanical stresses, thermal behavior etc.)
CAD support for prototyping
Your background :
Enrolled student in physics, electrical / mechanical engineering, or a related subject (advanced B.Sc. or M.Sc. course)
Fluency in written and spoken English
Team player and well organized
Creative and able to work autonomously
Laboratory and experimental experience area is of advantage
Proficiency with MATLAB, CAD tools, COMSOL or ANSYS package is a plus
