Sommelier
We are currently recruiting an experienced and professional sommelier.67 Pall Mall Verbier is a private wine member club, fine-dining restaurant located in Verbier in the Swiss Alps.
Manage the wine service in a section of the restaurant- Work with the rest of the front of house team to coordinate the service in the most effective way - Recommend food and wine pairings- Advise guests on wines based on their personal tastes and food choices- Inform guests about different varieties of wines and prices- Ensure wines are served at the right temperature and within the proper glassware- Restock the wine by the glass before each service- Keep the work section clean and tidy- Take care of the material at your disposal and use it correctly- Polish Zalto glasses correctly and carefully
We are looking for a sommelier who : · Has previous experience as a sommelier in a high quality and busy environment.· Who possess a solid foundation in wine education, preferably with formal qualifications in wine tasting, pairing, and sales.
- Who can provide personalized wine recommendations, and enhance the overall experience· Should be open minded and flexible in their approach· Has good people management skills· Has an eye for detail· Has a good personality and have a positive and enthusiastic attitude· Is consistent and reliable and an excellent team player· Has a good command of the English Language & / or French· Able to work in a high-pressure environment
