For our Legal organization based at our Headquarters in Lausanne, we are looking for a

Paralegal Officer 100% - (Maternity Cover 8 months)

In this role, you will support the Legal Affairs department in its mission of safeguarding and protecting Debiopharm Group entities’ interests, particularly through preparing and following up some contracts especially clinical trial agreements.

Your responsibilities will be but not limited to :

  • Review a variety of agreements in relation to clinical trials (clinical trial agreements, services agreements, consultancy agreements, confidentiality agreements, etc.)
  • Assist the legal department members on other legal matters not relating to clinical trials such as legal presentations, implementation of IT tools, Intellectual Property Matters
  • Assist with drafting, reviewing and negotiating different type of agreement especially confidentiality agreements , consultancy agreement, services agreements, material transfer agreements and amendments under the supervision of lawyers
  • Participate in internal projects meetings, working with internal and external stakeholders (including third parties and outside counsel as necessary)
  • Different administrative tasks (signature, filing, keeping trackers, etc.)

Requirements

  • Law Degree (Paralegal, Bachelor or equivalent), 5-7 years of experience in negotiating and drafting agreements,
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English and French (C1)
  • Experience in working within the Life Sciences is an advantage
  • Experience in working on Intellectual Property is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work within an international environment and across a variety of business disciplines
  • Independent in your work, you are a strong team player, looking to integrate a passionate team
  • Ability to quickly prioritize and organize work
  • Excellent user of Office Programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
