Global Head of Tender Management

for its global Pharma Division Headquarter based in Allschwil- Basel.

Primary Job Function :

The primary purpose of this role is to lead efforts to optimize and improve tender readiness and increase win / loss ratio.

This role will lead development of the Global brands value proposition in cross functional alignment with other departments.

Further, the role will support key tender pricing strategy for priority Global launch brands and coordinate with regions cross functional alignment.

This role will be responsible for the day-to day running of the tender business with a particular emphasis on pricing and competitive insights and market entry strategies across international region (all countries in EPD).

Making sure that the tender continues following global guidance and play to win’ strategy.

Core Job Responsibilities :

Lead development of play smart to win tender strategies and playbook; deliver clear recommendations to the business relating to tender management and planning across all EPD therapeutic areas

Develop innovative strategies for accelerating products’ access in tender channel, which may include alternative payment methodologies, value-based agreements, payer and / or pharma partnerships

Development, implementation and launch of tender management system in key tender markets.

Development, approval, and implementation of tender management lifecycle strategies for each global brand

Analyse, align and prioritize tenders supply across all tenders’ geographies for all franchises

Development, implementation tender pricing strategy and price threshold matrix across all geographies

Competitors tender strategy analysis, monitoring and proactive countries support during tender submissions

Control of tender submission compliance and adherence to global pricing guidance

Provision of deep dive tender data analysis with elements of predictive analytics

Topline revenue optimization in tender business, growth driver identification and provision recommendations to regional Heads and GMs

Development and launch of tender management dashboard for Senior Executive Team

Development and implementation KPIs for monitoring of tender business Success

Development and rollout tender dossiers for key global brands in alignment with Marketing, HEOR, Pricing and Market Access CoEs.

Provision of tender management trainings for Regional and Local Market access Teams and functional tender champions

Development of bidding strategy for biggest tenders’ submissions in alignment with regions and affiliates

Building of tender database, its further analysis and provision of analytic report to Senior Executive Committee on monthly basis

Establishing and support of Countries Tender Champion network with further education of tender champions

Monitoring, forecasting, and executing tender submissions across EPD geographies

Improving tender margins and maintaining a high-quality tender submission.

Reviewing, refining, and developing the bidding strategy and direction of the tender pricing strategy.

Responsible for the company’s tender business submissions compliance and legislative adherence.

Creation of competitive insight cockpit for GMs and region Heads

Provide guidance, analysis & management of the tendering process from preparation of tender documentation right through to contract award.

Bring consistency on value proposition, differentiation, prices, conditions, over the different countries and opportunities

Bid support : Understand customer requirements and dissect bids to support the design of solutions, wordings, documents, presentations, etc.

Analyse tender documentation including products, services, quantities, delivery deadlines, terms, and conditions.

Prepare customer-tailored value proposition for high-level pricing

Coordinate project objectives and activities with regional partners, assuring the projects are efficiently integrated with other efforts.

Minimum Education :

Master's degree in economics, health economics, public health, health services research or business analytics required; PhD preferred.

Minimum Experience / Training Required :

Prior access regional or global tender management leadership experience strongly preferred

Advanced degree in business analytics, and / or financial analysis

Demonstrated span of control across multiple therapeutic areas; gastroenterology, CNS, women health, oncology strongly preferred;

experience in access strategies development for Biologics and / or Biosimilars is strongly preferred

High level of negotiation skills and experience in working with tenders and framework agreements.

Demonstrated experience leading GTM office efforts & pricing in emerging markets.

Demonstrated understanding of the dynamics of the emerging markets health care systems and financing mechanisms; Public and private tenders bidding experience required

Demonstrated experience leading Global Tender Dossier development
