Conduct scientific research in the field of nanopastes for sinter-bonding and develop your own profile as a researcherPlan, execute and evaluate fundamental and application-oriented experiments. A broad range of methods and techniques is available at Empa that can be used by yourself or accessed in cooperation with experts (laboratory for nanopaste preparation, joining equipment, XPS / HAXPES, DSC-TG-MS, in-situ XRD, electron microscopy, mechanical testing,…)Present your results at international conferences and in scientific publicationsSupervise intern students and semester projects in the framework of your research project Your profile

• Master degree in Material Science, Nanotechnology, Chemistry, or related fields
• Intrinsic motivation, scientific interest, and good experimental skills
• Interest and ability to work in an international, interdisciplinary team
• Good knowledge of English (oral and written) mandatory, preferably knowledge of German; good communication skills
