Network Security Engineer
LHHBaselOur client, a prestigious private bank in Basel, is expanding their IT operations team and is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join their dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities :
o Manage Global Network Systems
o Oversee and maintain a broad range of network systems, including CISCO hardware, firewalls, proxies, DNS infrastructure, DDoS mitigation systems, and NAC technologies.
o Ensure continuous network functionality by diagnosing and resolving issues and keeping the network infrastructure updated with the latest technology.
o Aid in project development by designing network solutions in close coordination with other infrastructure teams.
o Lead the implementation of network solutions for various projects, acting as both the technical lead and solution architect.
o Develop and maintain detailed documentation for network services, covering design blueprints and operational procedures.
o Participate in the on-call rotation to provide timely network support as part of the team.
Qualifications & technical expertise
o Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a completed apprenticeship, or equivalent education.
o Valid IT network certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCSA, CCSE, or similar.
o At least 5 years of hands-on experience in network security, covering areas like routing, switching, firewall management, proxies, and DNS.
o Familiar with ITIL practices and skilled in Linux and shell scripting.
o Proficient in designing and implementing network infrastructure.
o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
o Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and perform well under pressure.
o Proficient in English; knowledge of German is an advantage.
o Ready to travel up to 5-10% of the time.
