What’s the opportunity?

As a Cloud Solution Engineer (Junior to Mid-Level) , you will craft innovative digital products and platforms for our clients so they can achieve their business goals with an appealing, efficient, effective, robust solution that has as little complexity as necessary.

Your key activities will include :

  • Work in a  team of experienced engineers and business experts as one cross-functional product team , turning business requirements into viable software
  • Design and write for example containerized microservices (e.g. with C# / .NET Core) and data pipelines.
  • Integrate functional, unit, integration and load tests of your code.
  • Document a solution design and architectural decision using methods like ADR (Architecture Decision Records).
  • Design and write IaC solutions and implement on the respective Cloud environment.
  • Explore new technologies and ways of implementation to continuously improve
  • Grow in your role towards a senior, principal engineer or architect, leading a development team or a particular practice.

What you’ll need in this role

  • Entrepreneurial mind-set with business sense and mental agility , focused on high quality outcomes
  • A degree in computer science , (business) informatics, or a related discipline – and if you decided to skip university for more time to code and practical work experience, don't hold yourself back, we’re curious!
  • Junior to mid-level experience means at least 1- 2  years of in-depth experience in software architecture & engineering and at least 1  year of hands-on engineering experience with preferably Microsoft Azure or AWS (or GCP, Alibaba Cloud).
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language , such as #C / .NET (core), Java, Python, R or JavaScript.
  • Good understanding & practical experience with different integration patterns , technologies, and protocols, such as REST, SOAP, HTTP, MQTT, and others.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills , with the ability to think critically and logically.
  • You f eel particularly comfortable in interdisciplinary teams and global contexts.
  • You’re a great team player and communicate openly with your team members. You can articulate technical problems and solutions in a precise and understandable way.
  • Fluent in English , German, French or Italian is a plus as well as any other languages.

  • Knowledge of statistical models and software, risk modeling and tools, geospatial data and tools.
