LIGENTEC is a fast-growing European company with headquarter in Lausanne, Switzerland. Since 2021 we expanded our manufacturing capabilities by creating LIGENTEC France, in the South of Paris. We specialize in the design & manufacturing of Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) for customers in high-tech areas such as Quantum Technologies, LiDAR, Space Technologies, and Biosensors.

LIGENTEC All-Nitride (AN) technology enables our customers to develop their products in the Industrial Revolution 4.0.

To support our continued growth, we are looking for a :

Application Sales Engineer

The purpose of this position is to provide an excellent customer experience by offering pre- and post-sales technical support, strengthen the sales team, technical marketing and business development.

Tasks

  • Cultivating positive customer relationships and being the customer interface
  • Translate customer needs into workable solutions.
  • Discuss and define SoW with customers, prospects and project partners
  • Provide technical customer support during the whole sales cycle from pre-sales to after-sales.
  • Manage the sales pipeline in CRM, and achieve sales targets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering and R&D, to develop tailored solutions for clients.
  • Contribute to the marketing strategy with content and activities (talks, application notes, press releases, webinars, etc.)
  • Understand and analyse market trends and requirements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and project partners

Requirements

  • Highly customer and solution-oriented mindset.
  • 3+ years experience in integrated optics or PhD in integrated optics
  • Industry experience of 3+ years in technical sales, application engineering or similar role preferred
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets in technical environment
  • Previous customer interaction
  • Ability to translate customer wishes to clear specifications
  • Hands-on experience with integrated photonics software tools is a plus
  • Excellent technical problem-solving skills
  • Open minded, communicative, critical, and innovative
  • Flexible in working on different tasks and with different teams
  • Ability to work in a team and independently.
  • Working proficiency in English.
