This is a unique opportunity for a senior finance professional to join the Lonza Finance team and drive with us the finance transformation.

This role will be part of the Global Business Services Organization (GBSO) team whose vision is to provide superior customer experience through process excellence and insights generation for the business.

As the Head of Finance for Lonza’s Swiss Commercial Entities (Lonza AG and Lonza Sales AG)* you are responsible for the complete financial oversight and reporting of the two most important & complex operational companies in the Lonza Group.

The accountabilities include the monitoring of the financial health of the entity, financial risk management, internal and external reporting, ensuring successful internal and external audits and external stakeholder management.

Key responsibilities :

Reporting to the Head of Finance EMEA GBSO, your key responsibilities include :

• Monitoring of the financial health, integrity and compliance of the legal entities and ensuring compliance with legal regulations
• Managing the financial risks of the entity, ensuring financial compliance and that internal controls are in place, enforced and periodically reviewed.
• Regularly review of the financial accounts for the entities prepared by the Shared Service Center in the Global Business Services Organization.

Ultimate accountability for the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of the legal entity's internal and external reporting.

Ensuring successful external audits : Management representative for the external auditors. With your team, manage the timely completion of the external audit, including active issue resolution, escalation and reporting.

Ensuring systematic root cause analysis for audit misstatements is performed and mitigating actions are defined and completed.

Ensure control weakness are assessed and addressed in a timely manner.

• Ensuring successful internal audits : Management representative for the internal auditors. Ensuring systematic root cause analysis and implementation of mitigating actions for audit observations and recommendations in the finance area.
• Works closely with the internal stakeholders to gain a complete understanding how the business activities are reflected in the financials.
• Works with Corporate Treasury for all treasury and financing matters related to the legal entity.
• Works with Corporate Tax for all tax matters related to the legal entity.
• Closely works with the GBS Organization to ensure all process provided by GBSO in the financial area are effective and efficient.
• Supporting ongoing process and internal control improvements
• Support S / 4HANA implementation project

Key requirements :

• Swiss Certified Public Accountant is required.
• Must be business fluent in German and English.
• Masters in Economics & Business Administration, specializing in accounting, auditing and taxation.
• Advanced level of experience within Finance is required; Extensive financial accounting & reporting experience in a multi-national environment is required.
• Experience in leading teams in difference locations.
• SAP competency an advantage.
