The IT Engineering is a pioneering competence centre, that unites senior professionals from different backgrounds. Together we guide the development and continuous improvement of a high-performance, scalable and secure payment system.

To allow TWINT to grow and expand, we need you in the role of a Senior Kafka Engineer – in Zurich or Bern with Home Office.

Your impact at TWINT :

Build and implement our data streaming platform built around Confluent Kafka
Onboard and support developers throughout their journey with Kafka
Provide second- and third-level support
Enhance the reliability and availability of our Kafka ecosystem
Take ownership of infrastructure-as-code and application lifecycle
Collaborate closely with developers, SREs and other DevOps Engineers across the organization to deliver innovative software solutions to the market in a flexible, timely, and high-quality manner
Engage in both conceptual and hands-on work

Your Profile :

Degree in computer science (Bachelor’s or Master’s) or equivalent education

Knowledge of Linux and scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Python)

Strong experience in setting up, operating and monitoring Kafka clusters

Several years experience with Helm, Kubernetes, Docker and Terraform

Experience in building Java applications with SpringBoot or Widfly is a plus

Azure public cloud experience is a big advantage

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Good English language skills; German is a plus
