The Role
For our subsidiary Alternative Bean Company we look for a Traffic specialist. You will oversee inventory accuracy at our Hamburg coffee warehouse and coordinate shipments across the entire supply chain. You are responsible for the smooth execution of logistical processes — from receiving and dispatching goods and samples to managing documentation and system entries. You’ll work closely with commercial, financial, and logistics teams, including colleagues based in Costa Rica. Precision, structure, and a hands-on approach are essential to succeed in this role.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage and control inventory records for the Hamburg warehouse, including stock reconciliation in coordination with the Finance Manager.
- Support the commercial team by coordinating and executing shipments from origin to warehouse and from warehouse to destination, including shipment and sample tracking.
- Ensure accurate entry of lots into the warehouse and coordinate blending services.
- Manage arrival, blending, and outgoing samples from the warehouse; maintain an accurate overview of lot status and sample needs.
- Coordinate documentation for logistics and traffic processes with exporters, importers, and the warehouse.
- Enter confirmed purchase and sales contracts into Navision (if not done by the trader).
- Register purchase / sale invoices, as well as credit and debit notes, in Navision.
- Monitor client payments and coordinate timely document releases.
- Receive, check, and register transport, warehouse, and freight invoices; upload required supporting documents to Laserfiche.
- Maintain and update internal SOP lists as needed.
Skills & Experience
A German professional apprenticeship or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 3 years of experience in logistics, trade execution, or a similar area.Fluent in English and German; Spanish proficiency is a plus.Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.Team-oriented, with strong communication and coordination capabilities.Experience with ERP systems (preferably Navision) and document management tools such as Laserfiche is preferred.If you are interested in this position and you recognize yourself in the above profile, or in case you would like to receive additional information about the role please contact our HR department and send your application by mail to the attention of Elke Larisch elke.werner-larisch@ecomtrading.com
