We are looking for...
a highly motivated Global Medical Affairs Scientist / Manager for our Global Affairs department
Your tasks
Establish, implement and coordinate the Global Medical Affairs Plan for assigned products and working closely with medical affairs of Commercial partners.
The plan includes activities as launch support, advocacy, publications, Webinars, key messages and communication strategy, KOL management, Partner training strategy, response to medical queries etc.
- Support Commercial partners in relevant activities such as microbiology susceptibility testing, microbiological surveillance programs, therapeutic drug monitoring, and diagnostics and other relevant scientific activities.
- Act as subject matter expert for Commercial partners including field medical affairs team, medical liaison, medical advisors and scientists;
support Partners activities or projects, as required, including scientific updates, face-to-face or virtual meetings, scientific trainings, medical information support, in alignment with agreed plans.
Support and provide high quality scientific expertise to other internal functions and ensure access to key documents (e.
g. CSRs, DSUR, PSURs,literature searches, market access documentation etc.) including Alliance Management, Development, Pharmacovigilance, Medical Information, Market Access, as required.
- Coordinating review of IIT and Partner planned studies together with Internal Basilea stakeholders ensuring alignment with Global Brand Medical Strategy.
- Responsibility for Standard Response Letters (SRLs) which are processed by Medical Affairs. SRLs are reviewed and updated annually (or ad hoc) based on new published information.
- Continue to build medical / scientific expert engagement (including KOLs, Societies, Associations) through cross-functional collaboration with relevant internal and external stakeholders to strengthen relationships and building of new partnerships / collaborations.
- Contribute to a global communication channel strategy and drive implementation of the publication plan for assigned Brands (abstracts, posters / oral presentations, primary and secondary manuscripts, review articles, other) with internal and external partners as required.
Your profile
- D. Pharm or PhD in microbiology, virology, infectious disease or a related life science discipline or a related field or equivalent degree
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in the infectious disease space with interdisciplinary exposure through industry
- Experience in writing, reviewing scientific publications
- Proven experience of successful development and implementation of innovative projects with a focus for time and quality, ability to work in a timely, accurate and thorough manner, as well as flexible with ability to operate in a changing environment
- Hands-on, organized and conscientious individual who is able to work both independently and collaboratively in a cross-team environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, fluent in English, spoken and written, any other language is considered beneficial
