Role Summary :

The Head of Strategy & Governance is shaping and driving the strategic agenda for Roche Digital Technology (RDT) reporting into the Head of Strategy Portfolio & Governance and ultimately to the Chief Digital Technology Officer (CDTO). This role will focus on leading digital transformation efforts establishing robust governance frameworks and ensuring the effective delivery of strategic projects across global functions. The incumbent will play a critical role in fostering a data-driven culture and scaling digital solutions to achieve Roches vision of doing now what patients need next .

Key Accountabilities

Strategic Leadership & Planning :

Collaborate closely with the Chief Digital Technology Officer (CDTO) the Roche Digital Technology Leadership Team (RDTLT) and the Roche Corporate Executive Committee (CEC) to translate Roche strategies into RDT initiatives.

Align with Senior Leaders in the RDT organization (e.g. business-facing functions horizontal tech functions portfolio management enterprise architecture) to gather input for and shape the RDT digital / technology strategy.

Identify opportunities for shaping the environment where Roche operates through market insights and a One Roche approach.

Governance & Investment Management :

Drive the investment governance process with RDT LT and business leaders evaluating the value of business initiatives determining investment needs and prioritizing them.

Establish a governance framework and structure for RDT to ensure efficient allocation of resources and prioritization of projects and initiatives.

Develop and oversee the implementation of the (out)sourcing location and internal workforce strategy of RDT.

Project & Solution Delivery :

Drive cross-functional large-impact projects from investment approval to delivery ensuring effective collaboration and customer satisfaction.

Drive the planning and delivery of digital / technology solutions globally.

Together with the Office of the CDTO ensure and track value delivery from strategic projects and recommend appropriate actions.

Collaborate with Business function leaders and Architecture teams to assess technology capabilities that support business needs and proactively recommend areas for investment.

Demonstrated ability to build constructive and effective relationships with business and tech leaders peers and team members developing strategy in a consultative manner.

Experience in managing cross-functional partner relationships in a complex organization including the ability to influence without formal authority inspire and lead cross-functional project teams in a global environment.

Communication & Execution :

Excellent people leadership interpersonal analytical and written / verbal communication skills.

Proven experience as a digital product owner or digital translator who has delivered digital use cases including advanced analytics technologies.
