StellenbeschreibungSwiss CFC or B.Sc. with at least 5 years of professional experience, preferably in the Flavors & Fragrances industry Solid practical and theoretical background in sample preparation and separation sciences (GC-FID, GC-MS, LC-MS, including troubleshooting experience) in fields such as volatiles and non-volatiles quantification / identification Skills and hands-on experience in analytical methods for characterization of solids ( e.g. IR, microscopy) Experience in related fields such as polymer analysis, advanced data processing, database creation would be a plus Rigor, open-mindedness, team spirit and problem solver attitude Fluent in French, working knowledge in English preferred
We are looking for a senior laboratory technician (M / F) for our client in the chemical industry. In close collaboration with the Perfumery and Beauty business unit, you will be involved in all practical and organizational aspects of the application of advanced analytical methods, from sample preparation to data processing, with a focus on Regulatory analyses of natural ingredients and polymer-based perfume delivery systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Independently plan, prioritize and execute experiments based on instructions provided by the Scientist in charge
- Deliver reliable results on time, on scope, with fit-for-purpose quality. This implies p rocessing GC and LC chromatograms and interpret data with rigor
- Apply advanced spectroscopic approach to characterize polymeric materials
- Manage samples storage and maintain clean and well organized laboratory / work place, including the maintenance of the laboratory and the instruments
- Report work progress in a laboratory notebook, technical reports and during project review meetings
- Actively contribute to the global safety, health and environment protection in the team and beyond
