MISSION

The position's mission is to ensure the efficient, accurate, and secure management of precious metals operations for a diverse range of clients, while leading and developing a team of 10 operations professionals. The role aims to maintain high standards of operational excellence and compliance, optimize processes, enhance inter-departmental coordination, and leverage technology to meet and exceed both client expectations and organizational goals. This position is also responsible for mentoring team members, fostering a collaborative and productive environment, and motivating the team to achieve superior performance and adherence to company standards.

MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Team management

  • Direct and support a team of 10 operations professionals managing diverse client streams, including producers, industrials, high-end branded corporates, financial institutions, and bullion dealers.
  • Mentor team members, providing guidance and motivation to exceed organizational objectives through continuous development and performance management.

Customer operations management

  • Manage daily operational tasks such as reconciliations, deliveries, pricing, invoicing, and payments to ensure precision and efficiency.
  • Oversee the complete and accurate management of precious metals deliveries, ensuring all documentation is correctly issued and received.
  • Monitor and reconcile client trade accounts, market positions, and balances to maintain financial integrity.
  • Develop and implement procedures for onboarding new client accounts, ensuring seamless integration into existing systems.
  • Monitoring and continuous improvement

  • Enhance communication with key departments such as relationship management, production, logistics, treasury, trading, and back office to ensure cohesive operations.
  • Establish and refine operational procedures in collaboration with the COO, setting and tracking key performance indicators to gauge and further improve operational success.
  • Work with other departments to design and refine processes, aiming to boost the effectiveness and efficiency of existing operations.
  • Partner with IT project managers to develop or upgrade technological tools and software that support and enhance client operations, driving digital transformation and operational efficiency.
  • REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, finance or another relevant field
  • 5-7 years of work experience, preferably in commodities trading house or financial institution
  • QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Good IT skills; proficiency in Windows environment is expected;
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English and French is required; knowledge of other languages is an asset.
  • Swiss or EU national or holder of a valid Swiss working permit.
