Senior Project Engineer - Power Systems

Your role

As a Project Engineer in Power Systems at ABB, a global leader in technology, electrification, automation, and digitalization, you will be part of an engaged international project team, playing a crucial role in providing innovative technical solutions for our clients.

The work model for the role is : #LI-Hybrid

This role is contributing to the Process Industries division in Switzerland.

You will be mainly accountable for :

• Working on the development of Power Distribution designs, from conceptual to detailed stages, for a broad spectrum of equipment such as MV switchgears, Low Voltage MCCs, Transformers, Neutral Earthing Resistors, DC power Supply, Power Factor Correction, Harmonic Filters, contributing significantly to design reviews, leveraging your knowledge to clarify technical aspects of the projects.
• Preparing and reviewing a wide range of technical documents, including single line diagrams, load lists, specifications, Wiring Diagrams, General Arrangements, Layouts, Functional descriptions, Power System Protection Philosophy, Digital Protection relay logics and IECEngineering.
• Collaborating with project team members across various disciplines (including control systems, infrastructure, drives, etc.) to ensure seamless integration towards power distribution systems.
• Engaging proactively with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and equipment suppliers from the procurement to delivery phases to ensure the equipment aligns with project requirements.
