Job Description : The opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Project Lead Engineer and Functional Lead to join our dynamic this role you will be responsible for overseeing the technical planning and execution of gas-insulated switchgear projects ensuring they are completed on time within scope and to the highest quality standards. As the Functional Lead for extension projects you will ensure successful execution of extension projects by the engineering team.

How youll make an impact

Project planning and technical detailing of gas-insulated switchgear including preparation of all necessary documents for order fabrication assembly and customers

Discussion of technical solutions with customers and internal stakeholders

Management of all technical communication channels internally as well as externally

Project execution and ordering of required material including necessary configuration

Responsibility for project costs deadlines & scope of delivery

Functional lead of one Project Lead Engineer in Switzerland and one Project Lead Engineer in our extended workbench with focus on extension projects

Overall responsibility for the successful execution of extension projects within engineering overseeing the process from technical handover through engineering production until project close-out

Detailed elaboration of quality cases and improvement processes

Technical support of the project until completion of on-site assembly

Occasional travel to customer meetings or site visits

Your background

Bachelors degree or Masters degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

At least 5 years of relevant work experience in project engineering of gas-insulated switchgear

Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. Creo AutoCAD) and other engineering tools

Proven track record in managing engineering teams or functional management role with strong leadership and communication skills

Experience in SAP and Microsoft Office applications

Ability to assist in developing project schedules and tracking progress

Familiar with supporting various project phases including production transportation installation and testing

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and escalate issues

Experience in coordinating resources including materials and equipment

Ability to work effectively within an international team environment and collaborate with other departments

Fluent in English; proficiency in other languages (e.g. German Spanish or French) is a plus
