PhD Student Position in Molecular Immunology

A funded PhD student position is available in the Molecular Immunology lab to explore molecular mechanisms controlling immune-cell differentiation and function in health and disease, with a focus on human T cells.

Your profile

• You are highly motivated and excited about developing scientific independence.
• You recently completed a Master’s degree in Immunology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
• You are fluent in spoken and written English.
• Bioinformatics skills and/ or experience with CRISPR technologies are a plus.

Project & Environment

• You will be encouraged to develop independent scientific thinking and to actively shape the direction of your project.
• Methodologies will include primary cell culture, flow cytometry, CRISPR-based perturbations, functional assays, molecular biology and biochemistry.
• Bellinzona, located in the Italian-speaking region of southern Switzerland, offers a high quality of life, outdoor activities and excellent connections to Zurich and Milan.
