Job description
We are looking for a R&D Low Voltage Engineer - F/M/X to work on the development and optimization of low-voltage protection product. This role is based in Schaffausen, Switzerland.
🔥 Your missions:
- Lead and coordinate tasks within cross-functional teams to investigate technical challenges, develop innovative solutions, and prepare recommendations.
- Act as Project Manager for product development initiatives.
- Analyze technical and business aspects of proposed solutions to support decision-making processes.
- Drive product engineering activities for low-voltage protection products and miniature circuit breakers.
- Support development and optimization of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing sites, and engineering teams on a global level.
- Ensure design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and design-for-assembly (DFA) principles are applied throughout development.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of assembly processes, including manual and automated production environments.
🎯 Your profile:
- You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field.
- You have at least 6 years of professional experience in a relevant engineering environment.
- You have a strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems for low-voltage products.
- You are proficiency in the design of mechanical and electrical interfaces, plastic and metallic parts design.
- You have proven experience with manual and automated assembly processes for low-voltage components.
- You have a very good knowledge of CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
- You have a good understanding of project management methodologies with proven practical experience.
- You demonstrate strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- You show a high level of self-motivation and ownership.
- You are a fast learner with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
- You maintain a positive attitude and strong teamwork capabilities.
- You are fluent in German and English.
