Senior Scientist, Translational Immunology

We are seeking a Senior Scientist in a role that will bridge laboratory discovery and the real-world autoimmune patient. You will be responsible for defining the "Pathogenicity Profile" of our targets, sourcing human samples, and designing the surrogate assays that will eventually serve as our clinical biomarkers. This is a high-visibility, high-execution role where your ability to synthesize literature and execute patient-centric experiments will directly define our clinical strategy.

Tasks

• Patient Sample Strategy: Proactively identify and engage with KOLs and biorepositories to source highquality autoimmune patient sera and cellular samples for deep profiling.
• Autoantibody (autoAb) Profiling: Design and execute high-sensitivity assays to quantify antigen autoAb titers, isotype abundance (IgG/IgA/IgM), and sub-class distribution in patient cohorts.
• Pathogenicity Modeling: Develop and run cell-based functional readouts to measure autoAb-mediated pathogenicity (e.g., cell killing, receptor internalization, or cytokine induction) and demonstrate the corrective effect of our therapies.
• Surrogate Assay Innovation: Scour the literature to identify and "bench-validate" state-of-the-arts surrogate assays that correlate with clinical efficacy, ensuring we have robust readouts before we hit the clinic.
• Biomarker Proposal: Synthesize translational data to propose and pilot biomarker assays for use in Phase I/II trials, including target occupancy and downstream immune modulation.
• Rapid Execution: Maintain a "can-do" approach to laboratory work, ensuring that patient sample analysis is completed on aggressive timelines to inform molecular engineering.

Requirements

• Education: Ph.D. in Immunology, Clinical Immunology, or a related field with 3+ years of industry experience or Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience
• Translational Mastery: Proven track record of working with human clinical samples and a deep understanding of autoimmune disease pathology.
• Hands-on expertise in a broad range of immunoassay including ELISA, multiplexed protein assays (MSD, Luminex), flow cytometry-based assay, western-blotting and PCR.
• Proven experience developing in-vitro disease models to test biologics potency and functional activity.
• Ability to design, optimize, and troubleshoot assays independently in a dynamic lab environment.
• Experience with microscopy-based analysis (fluorescence imaging) is a plus
• Scientific Sourcing: Demonstrated ability to build relationships with external vendors or academic collaborators to acquire specialized tissues/sera.
• Strategic Literature Analysis: Ability to independently research a disease area and identify the most commercially and scientifically relevant assays for clinical translation.
