Process Engineer

About the role

You will play a key role in ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of our manufacturing processes. You will also support the integration of new technologies and improvements across the facility.

Your main tasks will include :

Operating and maintaining manufacturing processes under GMP conditions

Acting as Package Owner in large-scale CAPEX projects, from design to qualification

Designing and optimizing production systems for performance, reliability, and compliance

Supporting installation, commissioning, and continuous improvement of equipment and processes

Performing root cause analysis and implementing effective CAPAs for process deviations

To succeed in this role, you will need the following competencies :

Proven experience working in GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing environments

Academic background in mechanical engineering, process engineering, biotechnology, chemistry, pharmaceutical technology or equivalent practical experience

Experience in commissioning and qualifying process systems

Familiarity with risk methodologies and deviation management

Fluency in English and German, written and spoken

With over 30 colleagues from different nationalities and backgrounds, we work collaboratively to support daily operations and strategic projects; all with one goal : deliver life-saving vaccines safely and efficiently.

You will be based at our manufacturing site in Bern (Thörishaus) and report directly to the Manager Process Engineering & Operational Technology.
